Hello there! I am a printmaker who enjoys working with vibrant and contrasting colors to advocate for a greater ecological consciousness.
My work denounces the longstanding history of human conquest and domination over the planet’s diverse ecosystems. As Homo sapiens, we selfishly call ourselves “masters” of the Earth — a corrupt ideology that I strive to uproot through the work that I create. My art instead emphasizes the beauty and resilience of the non-human world, and acknowledges that we are just one of several millions of different species, all sharing the same home and ultimately governed by the same set of natural laws. If we exhibit empathy towards all life on the planet and genuinely care about the health of the environment, only then will we find true peace and purpose within ourselves.
To inspire my imagery, I am largely influenced by my own inherent curiosity about the natural world, and with each new project and personal narrative that I share, I create space for others to learn alongside me. Although I primarily work in screenprint and relief, I am constantly exploring new media and combining various techniques within the same image. I am always in search of a challenge, as evidenced through my compositions involving multiple, complex layers. Along the way, I like to embrace the variability of printmaking, treating each iteration as an important step in my artistic practice.
